The formalising of the identification of hazards and risk assessment is fast becoming a requirement for the every day operation of business. Engineered Fire & Safety Solutions is well placed to carry out hazard and risk assessment reports for all types of buildings, given the qualifications, background and experience of its engineers. With the expansion of AS 4360, the trend towards undertaking of formal risk abatement procedures for buildings is becoming a reality that all owners and operators will have to face in the future. Engineered Fire & Safety Solutions’ engineers are qualified in various aspects of fire safety engineering and risk assessment. We have many years experience at senior management level and fire safety assessment within our team. In past times, risk assessment has been undertaken for high hazard premises only, however the newly revised standard now incorporates methodology and procedures for all premises, regardless of size and processes undertaken. Previous editions of the standard provided a simple tool for the assessment of building risk assessment. However, the revised standard has removed this methodology and incorporated a more stringent regime of assessment that requires a depth of knowledge to undertake. With the introduction of the new standard, owners and operators should be aware that they may be legally exposed if the premises that they control are not subject to risk assessments and abatement procedures. Depending of the premises and the operations carried out within, the level of risk assessment can be simple or complex. Obviously, the higher level of hazards the greater the detail required in the assessment and abatement requirements. Engineered Fire & Safety Solutions have the in-house knowledge of hazard assessment to enable the assessment of risk and development of abatement strategies for a building. |
