Engineered Fire & Safety Solutions is a privately owned, totally Australian Company that commenced operations in February 1994.

Engineered Fire & Safety Solutions is a fully independent entity and has no affiliations with any company engaged in provision of fire protection or fire safety engineering services. We are thus in a unique position of being able to provide unbiased advice to our Clients in the provision of cost effective solutions.

With over a decade of involvement with highly specialized fire safety consulting experience at all levels of project, Engineered Fire & Safety Solutions is well placed to provide a full range of fire safety, fire protection, fire engineering and fire design services to our Clients.

Our team of highly motivated and pro-active professionals are dedicated to providing Clients with the highest possible level of service and advice regardless of the size of the commission or the project. Our dedicated team have complementary skills and knowledge, thus enabling a great depth of servicing in the Fire Protection, Fire Safety and Fire Safety Engineering spheres.

OUR TEAM INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING KEY MEMBERS:

Don Alexander. M App Sc (Fire Safety Design) B.Teac C.Eng, F. I. Fire E.

Institution of Fire Engineers qualified, NSW, Queensland and Singapore Registered Fire Safety Engineer. He completed a Masters Degree in Fire Safety Design and has extensive practical experience in fire fighting through the rural sector. Don has an in-depth knowledge of the fire modelling, design and installation of Special Hazards, wet and fixed extinguishing systems, project installation management and educational aspects. An ex mechanical and marine engineer with fire and educational experience give a complementary balance and leadership to the team.

Don is presently undertaking a Research Doctorate program in the study of heat movement in underground railway tunnels. The results of the research will be used to assess and validate Computational Fluid Dynamics fire modelling software. This research is the most comprehensive validation data collection undertaken in the fire engineering world.

John Harper. MAIES, SFPE.

Fire fighting and fire protection system specialist, John has many years experience in fire management in structure and rural fire fighting, operations and planning.

John has come from a transportation background and brings a great experience in the operation and fire safety requirements for large transport terminals. John also has a great depth of knowledge in building assessment and development of specialty training and maintenance regimes.

John specialises in fire protection systems, both new and upgrading. He also oversees upgrading site activities to ensure quality and compliance with Fire Engineering Design.

Matthew Kwek. Master of Fire Safety Engineering, M Sc. (Property & Maintenance Management), B.E. (Mech) RI, QP (Mech).

Matthew is our network partner in Singapore and undertakes specialist projects in the Asian Sector. He is a Registered Inspector (RI) and Qualified Person (QP) in Singapore and has extensive experience in Mechanical Ventilation, Fire Protection System and other building systems.

Matthew works closely with the Sydney office on major projects and provides a valuable expansion to our team both in Australia and in Asia.
